Art Direction: We were approached by a client to possibly do new trees for the next release of a AAA franchise. At the time this was written, it was unclear if we would only be doing prototypes, or if we would be doing the production for this portion of the game. This is an overview doc for the general vision and direction for the vegetation.
Workflow/Tutorial: In this document I give an overview of the new process for producing the trees for the game. This tutorial is written for experienced game artists using 3ds Max. This is a few years old, but the pipeline that we designed and prototypes that we created were more than sufficient for the needs of the client.
